Job Summary:
We are looking for a Volunteer Geologist with experience in GPS, GIS, and remote sensing to support our geological projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to conduct geological research, analysis, and testing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct geological research and analysis using GPS, GIS, and remote sensing technologies
• Perform geological and geotechnical tests and research
• Conduct geophysical water tests and analysis
• Analyze and interpret geospatial data to inform geological decisions
• Collaborate with team members to develop project proposals and reports
• Use GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) to create maps and visualizations
• Perform other geological tasks as required
Requirements:
• HND in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field with 3 years of experience
• BSc in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field with 1 year of experience
• Strong knowledge and skills in:
– Geological principles and practices
– GPS and GIS technology
– Remote sensing and geospatial analysis
– Geological and geotechnical testing and research
– Geophysical water testing and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
